OrderCentral supports different type of discounts and various ways to who or what these discounts should be applied.
Discount types
Depending on the use case a different kind of discount calculation can be applied. It can be a simple discount percentage or depending based on the amount of a certain product being ordered at the same time.
Fixed percentage discount
Will always apply a configured percentage to the price.
Example:
Product X has a fixed percentage discount configured of 10%.
Product name | Price before discount | Discount percentage (fixed) | Price after discount | Quantity | Sub total | Total discount amount |
Product X | €10,- | 10% | €9,- | 10 | €90,- | -€ 10,- |
Volume discounts
Offer a reduced price per unit of a product or service when a customer purchases a larger quantity.
Please go to the related tab of Webshop Partner Discount object and add Webshop Partner Discount Scales for the Volume discounts.
Example:
Product X has a volume discount configured with three different discount scales.
Quantity <10 no discount should be applied
From quantity 10 tot <20 a discount of 10% should be applied
Quantity > 20 a discount of 15% should be applied

Combined discounts
This can be an account specific discount, but also general discount on a specific product, product family, product group or product line. you have 2 discounts of 10% on the same product that costs a €100,-.
Example:
1x Product X | € 100,- |
Partner Account | - € 10,- |
Product Family | - € 10,- |
Price after discount | € 80,- |
Stacked discounts
Multiple discounts are applied one after the other. Each discount is calculated based on the reduced price from the previous discount.
Example:
1x Product X | € 100,- |
Partner Account | € 100 - € 10,- = € 90, - |
Product Family | € 90 - € 9,- = € 81, - |
Price after discount | € 81,- |
