Different Discount Types
Fixed percentage discount
Will always apply a configured percentage to the price.
Example:
1x Product X | € 100,- |
Discount percentage 10% | - € 10,- |
Price after discount | € 90,- |
Volume discounts
Offer a reduced price per unit of a product or service when a customer purchases a larger quantity.
Example:
1x Product X | € 100,- each |
10+x Product X Discount percentage 20% | € 80,- each |
Discount for 10x Product X | - € 200,- |
Price after discount | € 800,- for 10x Product X (Original price€ 1000,-) |
Combined discounts
This can be an account specific discount, but also general discount on a specific product,product family,product group orproduct line. you have 2 discounts of 10% on the same product that costs a €100,-.
Example:
1x Product X | € 100,- |
Partner Account discount percentage 10% | - € 10,- |
Product Family discount percentage 10% | - € 10,- |
Price after discount | € 80,- |
Stacked discounts
Multiple discounts are applied one after the other. Each discount is calculated based on the reduced price from the previous discount.
Example:
1x Product X | € 100,- |
Partner Account discount percentage 10% | € 100 - € 10,- =€ 90, - |
Product Family discount percentage 10% | € 90- € 9,- = € 81, - |
Price after discount | € 81,- |
