Article summary

Create a system of section, category, and product codes. Products, Price Books, and Discounts are used to define the pricing for your customers in the webshop. You can use the same price book for multiple customers or define customer specific price books.

  1. Create a VAT rule
    a. Open the VAT Rule tab from the OrderCentral App
    b. Click New, fill in the necessary information, and mark "Is Active".
    c. Click save.

  2. Create a Category Structure
    a. Open the Web Categories tab from the OrderCentral App.
    b. Click New to create a new Web Category.
    c. Create at least three Web Category records that are linked to each other. So, a Web Category that is level 1, then one that is level 2, and finally one that is level 3.

  3. Create a Price Book
    a. At least one Standard Price book must be created and activated.
    b. Price books can be found by searching in apps to the left of the OderCentral logo.

Note

The above step is most often only necessary for new orgs. It is likely that if you already have an established org, a strandard price book already exisits.

  1. Create Products and Assign to the Price Book Created at 3

  2. Create Web Product 1 => Simple Product
    a. See OrderCentral Configuration → Webshop product configuration

  3. Create Web Product 2 = Configurable Product
    a. See OrderCentral Configuration → Webshop product configuration

  4. Assign Web Products to a Category
    a. Open the above Web Products you have just created
    b. Go to ‘Related List Quick Links’ (This should be on the right hand side of the page) and click on the** Categories** section then click New. This is to associate your product with one or multiple categories.
